Attendee assumes all risks and accepts sole responsibility for any injury (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability or expense, of any kind, that attendee may experience or incur in connection with attending the event. As a condition of my participation in this meeting or event, I hereby waive any claim I may have against the National Cave and Karst Management Symposium (NCKMS), its organizers, sponsors, vendors, agents, and all presenters or speakers, for reliance on any information presented, and release NCKMS from and against any and all liability for damage or injury that may arise from my participation or attendance at the program. I further understand and agree that all property rights in the material presented, including common law copyright, are expressly reserved to the presenter or speaker or to NCKMS. I acknowledge that participation in NCKMS events and activities brings some risk and I do hereby assume responsibility for my own well-being. If another individual participates in my place per NCKMS transfer policy, the new registrant agrees to this disclaimer and waiver by default of transfer.
Specifically relating to the global COVID-19 pandemic, attendee acknowledges the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assumes the risk of exposure or infection by attending the event, and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability and death. Attendee understands that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at the event may result from the actions, omissions or negligence of others who may attend the event or their families, colleagues, or others with whom they may have contact. Accordingly, attendee understands and agrees that this release includes any claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of NCKMS, its organizers, sponsors, vendors, agents, and all presenters or speakers, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during or after participation in the event. In addition to all other rules and regulations relating to the attendee’s attendance at the event, the attendee agrees to comply with all COVID-related procedures that may be implemented by NCKMS in order to protect as much as possible the health and safety of all attendees.
NCKMS intends to take photographs and video of this event for use in NCKMS promotional material, in print, electronic and other media, including the NCKMS website and social media accounts. By participating in this event, I grant NCKMS the right to use any image, photograph, voice or likeness, without limitation, in its promotional materials and publicity efforts without compensation. All media become the property of NCKMS . Media may be displayed, distributed or used by NCKMS for any purpose.
